1.Sum of the areas of two squares is 400 cm. If the difference of their perimeters is 16 cm, find the sides of the two squares.

2.Draw a circle of radius 4 cm. Draw two tangents to the circle inclined at an angle of 60° to each other.

3.An A.P. consists of 37 terms. The sum of the three middle most terms is 225 and the sum of the last three terms is 429. Find the A.P.

4.A moving boat observed from the top of a 150 m high cliff, moving away from the cliff. The angle of depression of the boat changes from 60° to 45° in 2 minutes. Find the speed of the boat.

5. The radii of circular ends of a bucket of height 24 cm are 15 cm and 5 cm. Find the area of its curved surface.

6.Prove that ratio of the areas of two similar triangles is equal to the square of the ratio of their corresponding sides.

7.An arithmetic progression 5, 12, 19, .... has 50 terms. Find its last term. Hence find the sum of its last 15 terms.

8.A well of diameter 4 m is dug 14 m deep. The earth taken out is spread evenly all around the well to form a 40 cm high embankment. Find the width of the embankment.

9.Four equal circles are described at the four corners of a square so that each touches two of the others. The shaded area enclosed between the circles is 21cm2. Find the radius of each circle.

10.The Present age of the father is twice the sum of the ages of his 2 children. After 20 years, his age will be equal to the sum of the ages of his children. Find the age of the father.
